Where can we held a bridal shower?

i am the bride's sister and i know what she likes, so we counted out our house and community centers. where else can we held a bridal shower, do you have any suggestions? we were thinking maybe a Restaurant or a Banquet hall, how much did you spend on your bridal shower and where did you have it?
